    In order to keep the shipping costs low, Teknacon Motorsports' MARCHIVES can ship folded copies in an envelope via US Postal Service.  We also offer shipment of copies in drawing tubes. All shipments can go via FedEx, UPS or US Postal Service, depending on your wishes and needs. Please be aware that the cost for shipping can vary greatly, depending on your location and desired time frame.

    The costs for the copied drawings result from the fact that we decided to only offer 1:1 scale copies, most of which need to be repaired before they are in a condition to be copied. To keep the response time to our customers low, we try to get the copies done within less than a week dependent on copy service turnaround and the availability of our Librarian.

    The copies are taken to a copy shop that offers the technology to reproduce the drawings in the condition they are in. Some of them are "Brown copies" which require "Blue-lining" in different shades. We usually pick the completed work up the following day and perform a quality check. All drawings are unique and some of them are so valuable that we choose to be present at the time they are reproduced. The copies will be cut to the original size, labeled and taken to the shipping store we work with. This is necessary to determine the cost for shipping, which as previously mentioned can be quite different dependent on such variables as service provider, package size, weight, your location and desired time of delivery.

    As you can see, the reproduction and distribution requires quite some time. Not included here is the effort to determine what drawings are needed and where they are located. Sometimes we find more than one construction drawing per part since many cars were modified over time. Some of the "blueprints" were modified over time as well, resulting in different versions of parts for the same car dependent on time of production.

NOTE: Drawings are only available to owners/restorers of cars, with the exception of wind tunnel models, 3-D renderings and other decorative drawings. We also require that the drawings are not to be reproduced or resold.

Complete sets of drawings for one car may number from less than a hundred to more than two thousand. Drawing Registers and Kit Lists can be provided for most cars to assist you with the selection of needed drawings.

For those of you who are interested in parts made by Jeremy or copies of the drawings, please attach photos (when available) to your Email.  This way we will be able to serve you much faster and avoid sending you anything you do not need.

NOTE: Starting January 01, 2003, there will be an additional "labor fee" for orders that require an extensive amount of time on our side.
