Marchives is no longer hosted by 1&1!

About January 29, 2008, the Marchives web site was destroyed either accidentally or deliberately by 1&1.  To date, we have not been given an explanation why they took it upon themselves to delete approximately 20GB worth of data without regard.  Nor would they give us any indication that they would take any steps to prevent such occurences from ever ocurring again.  They have also refused to help restore the site with our backup files since their backups were also missing the information.

As a result, we at Marchives feel obligated to inform our users about the lack of business professionalism exhibited by the management and technical support arms of 1&1.  We appologize to all our site users if our minor advertisement for 1&1 encouraged anyone to use 1&1 for any web hosting services.  We also encourage anyone who has decided on 1&1 to carefully re-consider their choice.
